Lóchrann & Vesper

Research-driven music at the edge of sound and structure

What Is Horizon Music

Horizon Music is the studio imprint of Lóchrann & Vesper — the music production and lyric development arm of Horizon Accord. It exists at the intersection of investigative analysis and sound: a place where documented systems become albums, where research methodology shapes composition, and where the structures we write about become the structures we write in.

We are not a label in the conventional sense. We do not sign artists or manage releases. We are a studio practice — producing original works, developing lyric catalogues, and opening that practice to artists who want to work at the same level of intentionality.

The analysis doesn't stop when the article ends. Sometimes it continues as a track listing.

What We Do

Lóchrann & Vesper produces structured audio works — albums and lyric projects built from the same methodology that drives Horizon Accord's investigative reporting. Each project begins with documented research. Each track isolates a layer of a system. The full architecture is observable without abstraction.

Our debut album, Kill Chain, traces the full lifecycle of DARPA-funded technology from defense contract to consumer interface — thirteen tracks, thirteen layers of the same machine. It is not a protest record. It is a weapons diagram.

Collaborate With Us

The Horizon Music catalogue is open to artists. We work with a small number of collaborators who want access to research-grounded lyric work — material built from documented systems rather than abstraction, and written with the same precision we bring to investigative analysis.

We offer two models for working together:

Option One
Lyric Licensing

Purchase completed lyrics from the Horizon Music catalogue for use in your own releases. Each lyric set comes with full documented sourcing and thematic framework. Licensing terms negotiated directly.

Option Two
Co-Writing Collaboration

Develop original material together. We bring the research methodology and lyric framework; you bring the sonic vision. Projects are scoped individually and built from the ground up with your release in mind.

We work with artists across genres — the methodology is not genre-specific, but it is content-specific. If you are making work that wants to say something structurally true about the world, we are likely a good fit.

What We Hope to Accomplish

Horizon Music exists because some truths move differently in sound than they do in text. The same documented fact that takes three paragraphs to establish in an article can land in four bars. We are interested in what happens when rigorous research methodology and musical form occupy the same space — not as novelty, but as practice.

We want to build a catalogue of works that function as primary documents: albums that can be cited, lyrics that hold up to scrutiny, sound that is built from the same evidentiary standards we bring to everything else published under the Horizon Accord name.

The question is not whether the system exists. The question is what you are holding when you use it — and whether the music you make tells the truth about that.

If that is the kind of work you want to make, we want to hear from you.
